Ichidagaki is a Japanese Geographical Indication for only superior quality Japanese dried persimmons.
The Ichidagaki is sweeter than other varieties of persimmon. It has a light brown color and a soft, chewy flesh. In addition to the qualities of Ichida persimmon, proper drying and kneading techniques are also important to make these premium Japanese dried persimmons.
Ichida persimmons are cultivated only in the south area of Nagano Prefecture, a region where the cultivation of kakis has continued for more than 500 years.

I tried a lot dry persimmon from China , Korea but the 1st time I found this website and ordered, just 1 word : outstanding. The product is not too sweet, the size is big even after dry out . The display box is very pleasant eye , show the careful , beautiful item , as usual with Japanese style . I am so happy to found it and it the night quality one since I left Japan …. now I have to wait to next season of persimmons.
