This shoyu is made with organic whole soybeans, organic wheat, and solar salt. In addition, it is free of alcohol, chemical seasonings, and preservatives. A must-try for those who are looking for real Japanese organic soy sauce.

Teraoka is a shoyu (Japanese soy sauce) brewer based in Hiroshima that inherits traditional barrel brewing methods as well as production of an authentic soy sauce. You can enjoy the taste of natural ingredients.

In the JAS certified brewery, this soy sauce gets fermented in a handmade cedar barrel for 3 years. There are microorganisms settling throughout this brewery, imparting supreme rich flavor and umami to the soy sauce.

It has an assertive full-bodied taste with a faint aroma of cedar, but the sauce is not too sharp nor too viscous so it is pretty easy to eat.

Instructions

Simply add an appropriate amount of this shoyu to the dishes so that you can enhance the umami of the foods.

Its rich taste goes perfect with sashimi, cold tofu, grilled fish, and more.

Using as a secret ingredient, a teaspoonful amount of this soy sauce into a ramen soup is also worth trying.
