Produced by Yamazaki Biscuits these cookies remind the Oreo ones. Actually, under a license from Mondelez, Yamazaki Biscuits was in charge of producing all the Oreo cookies sold in the Japanese market until 2016.

When the production of the Oreos sold in Japan moved to other countries many Oreo fans were disappointed because the taste was not the same.

But then Yamazaki Biscuits launched the Noir cookies which are produced in Japan, in the same factory were the Oreos were produced. While similar Noir cocoa sandwich cookies have a longer lasting cocoa flavor and a subtler sweet cream compared to Oreos.
