Arame seaweed is a species related to kombu, and as it is extremely tough and astringent in taste, it is normally processed.
Processed arame has a softer texture than any type of kombu, so it is easy to use it as an additional ingredient in salad, soup, simmered dishes, marinade, and more.
You can store this product at room temperature; however, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and extreme hotness/humidity.
Please bear in mind that, unlike other kombu seaweed, arame is unsuitable for dashi extraction.
