Founded in 1892 as Yanagawa Shoten, a store selling specialty products from Tamba, in Hyogo Prefecture, Yanagawa has evolved over time while maintaining strong support from the local community, region, and products. Recognizing their role in working alongside the community and utilizing the blessings of the region, Yanagawa expanded its business in October 2005 to include the production and sale of Japanese and Western confectionery.

At the heart of Yanagawa's mission is to showcase the unique characteristics of Tamba's special products, sourced from the abundant nature and dedicated farmers of the region. Renowned for treasures like Tamba chestnuts, Tamba Dainagon azuki beans, and Tamba black soybeans, Tamba has long been esteemed throughout Japan for its rich culinary heritage.
