Nanpudo was founded in Okinawa in 1972, with the goal of introducing traditional Okinawan and Ryukyuan sweets and snacks to people living outside of Okinawa. Their chinsuko cookies are an extremely popular product. This traditional, buttery, crumbly shortbread is widely known as a traditional Okinawan sweet with a long history, and a recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation since the Ryukyu dynasty. They sell a range of snacks based on traditional and modern Okinawan flavors, such as goya and taco rice.
