This Barrel Aged Natural Miso Paste contains only domestically produced organic soybeans, organic brown rice, and natural salt from Okinawa. These ingredients are aged together inside of cedar barrels to develop an umami flavor that is completely unique to that of other miso pastes.
The brown rice gives this miso paste a nutty flavor, making it taste even more full-bodied and full of umami. This miso paste also has a dark color due to being aged inside of a wooden barrel.
