The Fuji Cutlery Kurenai Gyuto Chef’s Knife is the perfect knife for intricate, detailed cutting and regular knifework - particularly when using meat. From Fuji's top-of-the-line Reigetsu series, this is a high-quality, professionally constructed Japanese knife that expertly balances supreme sharpness with easy maintenance. 

Although gyuto knives are partial to meat, they are excellent for almost anything else you’d need. The double-bevel design of the blade means that the edge is very durable, so they’re well-suited for slicing and dicing hard vegetables like daikon and pumpkin, without dulling the blade.

This 270mm gyuto is longer than a typical gyuto knife, and the longest Fuji makes. It’s ideal for cutting and carving large blocks of meat, making it a superb butcher’s knife or carving knife.

The Kurenai's blade is made from extra sharp molybdenum vanadium steel, sandwiched between high-chrome stainless steel, leaving only the cutting edge exposed. This protects your blade from corrosion, chipping, and cracking. The beautiful reddish handle is laminated wood, and gives this knife a lot of style!
