The Japanese shichirin grill is a traditional charcoal barbecue that has been used in Japan since the Edo period. Commonly referred to as a "hibachi grill" in the United States.
This shichirin by Ikenaga Iron Works is a large enough to accommodate a group of adults, and was designed particularly for business-use, for Japanese yakiniku barbecue restaurants. It's perfectly suitable for home-use too, and is great for large families or for people who love to grill a lot of vegetables, meats, and seafood at home.

This grill is designed to hold water inside, which minimizes smoke output, making it possible to use indoors when the included instructions are followed. Enjoy delicious and flavorful grilling without the unpleasantness of excess smoke.
Follow the instructions included in the box to ensure safe operation. Use in a well-ventilated area.
- Place grill on top of wooden tray, and fill the most-bottom section of the grill with a small bowl of aluminum foil.
- Pour 680ml of water into the foil - this will help reduce smoke.
- Place the inner iron section inside the grill, and place another small bowl of aluminum foil on top - ensure that you make holes in the foil matching the four holes (top, bottom, left, right) in the iron grill.
- Place charcoal in the foil bowl, and put the cooking grate on the very top.

- Note: This product is finished by anodizing the surface. Anodizing has many benefits, however the film is brittle, and can crack of peel off. This is to be expected, and doesn't indicate damage or impact the quality of the item.
