Fellow coffee addicts and I recently conducted a four-way competition among popular filters and filter holders, judging for both (A) elapsed time of initial brew cycle, and (B) comparative taste. The "winner" in both categories was Kalita's combination of filter holder and filter. One complaint: We'd all prefer a brown, UNbleached filter option.
