




The “Chasing” scene on this incense packaging humorously depicts a rabbit pursuing a monkey, reflecting the playful charm of the original scrolls. Each pack contains around 90 sticks, releasing aromatic smoke with rich opoponax sweetness, warm clove, and subtle musk, blending traditional art appreciation with a soothing, fragrant experience.
Choju-giga, or the “scrolls of frolicking animals,” is a set of four picture scrolls from the 12th–13th century), preserved at Kōzan-ji Temple in Kyoto. Recognized as a National Treasure, it is considered the earliest example of Japanese manga, using anthropomorphic animals, sequential storytelling, and humor.
