Made with high quality ingredients such as chicken broth, Japanese bonito flakes and kombu seaweed.
This light-colored Japanese dashi will make your dishes taste and look like the ones cooked by a professional!
To use as dashi stock for noodles like Japanese Udon or soba use a 1:10 ratio of dashi to water.
If you use the shiro dashi to cook vegetables, meat or nabe (hotpot) dilute it with approx. 12 times more water.

I have a few Asian markets in my area but only 1 is of good size with a good selection but it does cater to a global Asian market so I am not always able to find what I want. I had been looking for easy to use ingredients for soups and saw this. This is a concentrated Dashi broth and I was not prepared for how much it was concentrated so my first soup was too salty. On my second try I used more care and created a delicious soup with this Dashi broth, clams, rice cakes and vegtables. I will definitely buy this again.

Quite frankly the best Shiro Dashi on the market for my taste. The added chicken to the usual duo (kombu and bonito) gives this an added depth and savoriness. You'll want to use this with everything and everywhere.
