Suehiro uses 100% domestic Japanese soybeans and wheat to ensure that the rich flavor of Japanese soy sauce remains, while the deep aroma of smoke runs through it, without overpowering its natural taste.
Suehiro soy sauce brewery is based in Tatsuno, in Hyogo prefecture, which is one of Japan's historical soy sauce producing regions. They have been brewing shoyu there since 1887, and they're deeply proud of their town's place in shoyu history, and of the fresh, natural water that flows through the area and helps to make their shoyu so great.
With just a few drops of the premium smoked soy sauce, the natural, fragrant aroma of smoke will spread throughout your dish. It's not only suitable for Japanese cuisine, but a great seasoning for western dishes too. It goes great with olive oil and cheese.

A little bit of this smoked soy sauce saved some bacon that I ruined in a leaky sous vide bag. I used my pressure cooker’s sous vide setting, so for many, many hours, I did not know that the bag had failed, allowing water in with the bacon inside. The water leached all flavor from the bacon. When I fried it up, it had an amazing texture, but it was basically just texture. No flavor. So, having something that was at least good in one respect, I decided to mix a little of this soy sauce in with some mayonnaise to see if I could use the bacon in a BLT. It work so well. I am so impressed by the smoky, savory, umami flavor this soy sauce brought to the sandwich.
