I work in the kitchen and I use this knife not only for cutting bread but for making fruit salad etc.
Very sharp out of the box but you need to be careful because this steel is very brittle. Also I would argue that it's rust resistant - it's not and this is the reason to keep it clean and dry at all times.
I've bought Tojiro petty knife from this shop which is also superb.
