This is a stainless steel steaming plate that can be used by being placed in a pan or pot. This product makes it easy for you to cook steamed dishes.
It comes with a high dome-shaped lid that enables you to easily steam large foods. You can also place a teacup over it to create chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg custard).
You can use this product with pans and pots between 24 and 26cm in diameter. Please note that if this product is larger than these utensils, you will not be able to fit it into the pan while if smaller, you will not be able to steam foods sufficiently.
Other dishes suitable for cooking with this product include steamed vegetables, boiled eggs, steamed shabu-shabu, meat buns, and more.

I have not had good luck with bamboo steamers. I prefer stainless steel steamers. This one is my best choice. The set fits in one of my saute pans. I can use parchment paper to prevent sticking. There is room to spread out vegetables and dumplings when cooking for two. I can use a dishwasher to clean up afterward.

It fits on a frying pan. I add just little water and it boils fast. Its dome shaped cover is great for heating and steaming and water from the lid does not get to your food. Great design!
