Some iron pans like Chinese pans or woks are recommended to be washed without dish soap since it would wash away the oils from the pan. So this product washes off the dirt while preserving the iron qualities.
It is also useful to remove dark flesh and the like from the fish before cooking it.
With the help of the whisk and hot water, wash the pan or pot quickly.
After use, rinse the scrubber well with a detergent and dry it on a well ventilated place.
Watch out for some fine splits on prongs while using.

As the title indicates, this is a review of this company's customer service rather than the specific item. I ordered this over a month ago. What arrived was an item that looked the same but was made in China (not Japan, as the listing stated). I asked about the mixup through email, and received far more than I was expecting. I wrote my original review in hopes that anyone else, who cared as much as I do about accurate information so they may make an informed purchase, might avoid sending their hard-earned money only to receive a disappointment. I had no hopes for satisfaction, only to inform others. This company replied that the item had been switched by the supplier, without their knowledge, and that they were working to find an authentic Japanese version to sell to us. They could have changed the description (or not, as so many others choose). They could have said "tough luck,' but, instead, they expeditiously sent me, at their expense, the Japanese-made version that they had recently sourced. I pay my way. I don't ask for anything for free. I do my best to support small, local, and authentic businesses. The customer service I have received here has not only won this company a loyal customer – the next time I have any needs to fulfill my amatuer Japanese culinary experimentations – it has put me in their debt since our transaction is no longer equal. I was very pleased to find a source for an item I wanted where the item was not made in China – as are far too many items these days. On your page, the details of this item state that it is made in Japan; unfortunately this is not the case. The other three items in my order were as described, and I am pleased with them, but when this arrived the packaging clearly stated that it is made in China. I can find "made in China" knock-off items all-day, every day here in the U.S.; I don't need to order from Japan, pay the shipping, and wait the time for it to arrive for anything that I can easily get at any store where I already am. I thought I was buying a quality product from it's home country, but what was delivered was just another made-in-China imitation. If your web page would have been honest (or at the very least up-to-date) I would not have purchased this from you as I could have easily gotten this at any cooking store in this country. I will be hesitant to purchase anything more from you because I will have to do more foot work -- emailed inquires and waiting for the response, most likely, to confirm the details of anything I am looking at. I am disappointed that instead of preserving your culture and creating things in Japan, using Japanese craftsman, you have opted for cheap commerce and easy revenue at the cost of exploited labor, and are selling items not made in Japan while stating that they are.
