Established in 1753, Kamebishi is one of the few soy sauce brewers that has inherited traditional brewing methods. Their soy sauces are definitely authentic and worth trying.

It is said that Kamebishi is the only soy sauce producer who adopts a unique fermentation method called Mushiro Koji: malted rice is placed on a mat made with straw and rush instead of letting it ferment in a machine. This provides a preferable environment for the rice malt and allows it to keep itself naturally moist, making the fermentation process more proactive.

    Is so much different from soy sauce you can buy in the states. I never eat traditional cheap soy sauce because it tastes terrible and only of salt. This is so different I think it’s weird it’s called the same name. This sauce is amazing and I will be using it regularly from now on.

    How does one go back to regular soy sauce?

    Honestly after trying this, I can’t go back to regular soy sauce. It’s so potent and the smell is strong. I have used it to marinate my steaks as well. Comes in a glass bottle.

    Japanese Aged Soy Sauce

    This is the best soy sauce I have ever had. Not only is it handmade from the barrel technique, but I can taste the different in using this soy sauce as opposed to others that were not as good. The taste of this soy sauce is exceptional. I highly recommend buying this product. If you cook a lot of Chinese, and Japanese food, this soy sauce is the best option.

    The best soy sauce

    I watched a YouTube report on Business Insider on this soy sauce and immediately wanted to try it. I finally did. Yes, it's the best! It's so thick and flavorful. The bottle is pretty large too. It was packed very well. Will definitely order more.

    Excellent depth of taste
