The Yamaki Shaved Katsuobushi has a pronounced flavor and rich smoky aroma, and can be used for the preparation of stocks or toppings.

These dried bonito flakes add real Japanese umami taste to your dishes.

Katsuobushi is one of the main ingredients required for the preparation of dashi. You can also use katsuobushi as a topping.

In addition it has healthy components such as DHA and EPA.

This product is packed in small individualized bags so the katsuobushi is kept fresh all the time.

Yamaki is a Japanese company specialized in Katsuobushi.

You can use Katsuobushi and enjoy its umami and aroma by adding it into many dishes such as; soup, rice, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, salads, etc.

As topping or condiment; spread on top of your favorite salad, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, etc. to make dishes even more delicious.

For making dashi (broth); boil 1 litter of water in a pot. When its boiled, stop the heat and put 30g of Katsuobushi. Wait until Katsuobushi is completely sink in the bottom of the pot. Strain the soup in order to separate the katsuobushi itself with the dashi soup.
