Higashimaru was founded nearly 500 years ago, in 1580, in Tatsuno, Japan as a soy sauce brewing company. In 1660, they developed their recipe for usukuchi soy sauce, which is still used today. Throughout the 1900s, Higashimaru added new items to their lineup, including udon soup, donburi stock, and Japanese dashi.

Their products are staples of Japanese restaurants, supermarkets and households. Shop Japanese Taste's range of stock and dashi from Higashimaru below.
